Our Story
Decorating with Natures Beauty since 2020.
Branching Out started during the pandemic of 2020. After being isolated month after month, I felt the need to have a creative outlet. In the spring of 2020, many dead Aspen trees needed to be removed on my property. I have always loved Aspen bark and wanted to try to create art pieces with it. After weeks of looking at the pile of Aspens that had been cut down, I decided to bring them back to life with soft lighting and decorations.
Lights have always brought me such joy, peace and happiness. During this time I felt like we could all use more light and whimsical art to brighten our day. I built three large lighted aspen tree creations with various themes. Friends began to encourage me too ‘branch out’ and try to sell them. In June 2020, I had my first customer and we have been building beautiful Aspen creations ever since.
The Bark Art developed as I was searching for dead and downed Aspen in the forest. The older bark that had fallen off the trees was absolutely beautiful. My goal was to find ways to repurpose this beautiful material into artwork. The texture, depth and character of the bark was so rich with possibilities. Every piece of Bark Art is unique, featuring natural materials and creatively mounted on repurposed art bases. Nature always produces the most spectacular art. So, I ‘Branched Out’.
